Wine is all about a sensory experience. We look first. We observe the color and clarity of a given wine. Then we use the old proboscis and smell the wines, taking all the different aromas into our olfactory memories. Next, we taste. We sip and swirl the elixir in and around our palates and then make the determination about what we are gulping. Do we like it or not? Well sound aside, the last sense we can use and should use is touch. No, don’t stick your fingers into the glass. Think more about a textural sense. What does the wine “feel like” on your tongue – your palate?

Graduations, weddings, first communions, confirmations, baby showers, bridal showers… the list goes on and on. So many different occasions are celebrated perfectly with cake, and who doesn’t love a delicious cake?
We pride ourselves on our scrumptious cake and know that our cake is light-years better than our competition. We recently asked some of our seasoned bakery staff: “What makes our cake different from our competitors?” We dug down deep and came up with all the reasons why our cake is awesome!

Mother’s day is just around the corner meaning it’s time to celebrate mom! Whether it’s going to brunch at mom’s favorite restaurant or staying home and serving her breakfast in bed, making mom feel special is everyone’s number one goal.
Mother’s Day is the busiest day of the year for most restaurants; however more and more families choose to celebrate Mother’s Day with picnics and backyard brunches.

For years, downtown Minneapolis has been without a full-service grocery store that meets the needs of an energetic and diverse community filled with residents and a fast-paced work force who visits this urban playground on an almost daily basis.
That is about to change with the grand opening of a new Lunds on the corner of 12th Street and Hennepin Avenue.

I would like to thank the hard working Minnesota farmers that continue to produce high quality, healthy food. Their passion for growing and their desire to offer all Minnesotans locally produced nutritious food is what makes receiving this award so monumental. I have had the pleasure to get to know many of them over the last few years and their dedication never ceases to amaze me.
