Earth Day is right around the corner and we’re celebrating with a tasting event on Saturday, April 20th in all 22 stores, and in honor of Earth Day, we want to encourage you to use eco-friendly, reusable shopping bags.
We offer reusable shopping bags in our stores that are washable and fold into a compact square for easy storage. Each time you use a reusable bag when shopping with us, we donate five cents to Second Harvest Heartland.
To date we’ve donated more than $225,000 thanks to our customers’ use of reusable bags!

Each holiday season we host an open house at our stores to showcase some of our favorite items for your holiday table and parties.
This year our showcase will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
When you stop by any of our 22 locations, you’ll be able to sample our succulent shrimp and cocktail sauce, gooey sea salt caramels drenched in chocolate, creamy, rich brie spread on flatbread crackers, and our prepared crab cakes that are sure to dazzle your guests.

It says it right in our mission: Second Harvest Heartland works to end hunger through community partnerships – and an integral partner in the hunger relief community is Lunds and Byerly’s.
Throughout the year, we rely on the generosity and commitment of many groups and individuals to provide more food to our neighbors in need. Lunds and Byerly’s Reuse and Reward program is a great example of how a large organization and the community can come together to take small steps that make a big impact.

Summer is upon us, and with our abnormally hot weather, our pets need constant attention. As the temperature climbs, remember our pets are wearing a fur coat every day. They can’t tell us they’re hot or thirsty; we need to be advocates for them.

Grand openings are festive, wonderful occasions for both the new merchant as well as the new guests - our customers! This past week, we opened our ninth wines and spirits shop – Lunds Wine & Spirits at Hennepin Avenue - to much fanfare, acclaim and yes, appreciation. If I sound a bit surprised by the latter, it’s because I am. When guests walked in the first day we opened our doors, I got, “Thank you for opening this beautiful store,” “It’s going to change the quality of my life downtown,” “We’ve been waiting for this for years and years, thank you!” I was flabbergasted by the support and the comments. It is so gratifying as a retailer to know that all the planning and the hours of hard work by so many has not gone unnoticed.
