New Excitement at Ridgedale

We’ve had a lot of fun over the last week or so showing off our Ridgedale store and all the things we’ve remodeled there.
Of course the Deli department gets many of the comments because they are front and center and the first dramatic change you see as soon as you walk in the door, and the Inspiration Center has been fun, too – chatting with different vendors and trying different products before you even grab your cart. But my favorite changes are in the Bakery Department!
The Bakery has a few exciting new things!
The Ridgedale Bakery has such a talented Pastry Chef that absolutely adores making beautiful cakes. Andria finally has a spot where she can sit down with her customers and talk about cakes. Not just wedding cakes either – you’ll see her creations when you walk into the store and her centerpiece cake is in the Inspiration Center as well, you have to check out the things she can do with cake!
The new artisan bread bar is an eye-opener. It was time to get the bread out of its paper packaging and out in a case where it can be seen! Just like many European bakeries, the artisan bread looks great and keeps its crispy crust because we bake the bread every day! You’ll see our new focaccia breads as well and they are scrumptious – please ask for a sample if they don’t happen to be sampling this variety when you are there – you won’t be disappointed.
The biggest addition to the Bakery department is the new Kim’s Magic Pop kiosk! This has been so much fun as our associates pop these wholesome multigrain snack cakes. The popping sound, smell, and taste of these cakes are definitely attracting some attention. A cross between a rice cake and puff corn, this is a product that’s unique and fun to top with hummus or bruschetta. We’re the first in Minnesota to carry it and it’s fantastic.
