Valentine’s Day Sweets for your Sweetheart

I’m so excited for Valentine’s Day! It’s really about showing your appreciation to your loved ones - no matter who that may be! Spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, even pets can be a part of Valentine’s Day!

Some of our favorite pastries and desserts get a Valentine's Day facelift!

I think some of the easiest ways to show you put thought into the day is picking up some sweet treats. Our bakery has a wide range of options that will make your sweetheart and your sweet tooth melt!

Treats for Cake Lovers
My husband is the chocoholic and loves all of kinds – white, dark and milk, he doesn’t care. His favorite treat is our Triple Chocolate Tiger Cake - Layers of every chocolate variety with cake and mousse. Yum!

The trendiest cake variety these days is Red Velvet and although we’ve got that going all year round, it’s got a special place for Valentine’s Day. We make heart-shaped cakes, cake rolls with cream cheese icing, cupcakes and even red velvet brownie bites!

Treats for Kids
My kids appreciate a morning treat before heading off to school. Their favorites are the Red Velvet Donut Holes. They’re moist and a perfect size for their little hands. It’s great starting their day off with this treat – and frankly I’d rather give them the sugar before they leave the house rather than before bed that night!

Gluten-Free Treats
We’ve even got some new gluten-free and sugar-free treats in the bakery. Although they aren’t specifically Valentine’s Day related, they’re certainly festive and provide a great sweet option for those people who have restrictions in their diet.

My Favorites
A few chocolate covered long-stemmed strawberries are what would make me happy (ok and maybe some flowers? Hint, hint honey). Just that bit of sweetness to finish my dinner – I’m not too fussy!

What’s the best Valentine’s Day treat you’ve ever had?

Someone told me about a cake called "Death by Chocolate" do you really have something like that? Is this something we could get a recipe for? How about telling us what it is and what's in it.
    Thank you so much

    Hi Patricia!
We have an excellent "Death by Chocolate" torte available in the Bakery department. It's a flourless torte made with cream, semi-sweet chocolate, brandy and a touch of coffee. It's very rich and available in either a large 8" or a individual 3" serving. You won't be disappointed if you give it a try!

I was wondering how to find out the nutrition facts on the Death by Chocolate single serving torte? I want to order this for a friend, but I know she will ask! I called a Lund's bakery and they didn't have the information.

Your bakery should be self serve or open later! I always come to the store after the bakery is closed and see these nummy desserts, but can't purchase any! :(

You cannot go wrong with a lot of these desserts here. They are so good when it comes to giving gifts on valentines day. I just love the design and flavor of a lot of them. Great job on this.
