Lunds and Byerly's Organic Eggs Recall
We have removed all varieties of Lunds and Byerly’s organic eggs from our shelves following a voluntary recall from our egg supplier because of a potential Salmonella risk.

All of the following products with an expiration date of Nov. 12, 2011 and before are included in the recall:

• Lunds and Byerly’s Large Organic Brown Eggs (6 count)
• Lunds and Byerly’s Large Organic Brown Eggs (12 count)
• Lunds and Byerly’s Extra Large Organic Brown Eggs (12 count)

Customers are urged to return these products to our stores for a full refund (receipt not required) or destroy them immediately.

Not included: Our All-Natural Grade A Brown Eggs, All-Natural Grade A Large Omega-3 Eggs and All-Natural Grade A Large Cage Free Brown Eggs are sourced from a different supplier and are not included in this recall.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

To prevent illness, it is important for consumers to cook eggs thoroughly before eating to destroy any Salmonella or other bacteria. Consumers who believe they may have purchased these shell eggs should not eat them but should immediately destroy them or return them to any of our stores for a full refund.
