- TO MAKE ON THE STOVETOP: In a large pot or saucepan, bring your desired sauce to a boil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and stir until they are completely coated with the sauce; cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer the meatballs until internal temperature registers 165 F - about 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally so sauce doesn't burn.
