Opening with aromas of dried cherries, prunes and sweet spice with hints of coffee and tobacco give the palate depth and intrigue. "Alanera" translates as "black wing", a reference to the raven, "corvo", in Italian. An homage to the Valipolicella region's revered indigenous grape, "corvina".
