Serve as a delicious alternative to a brunch fruit salad or serve with angel food cake and vanilla bean ice cream, sweetened whipped cream or meringue shells for a tropical dessert.

Grilled Fruit Kabobs

Ingredients
3 tablespoons melted butter
¼ cup brown sugar
Pineapple, peeled and cored
Mango, peeled and pitted
Papaya, peeled and seeded
Kiwi, peeled
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Metal or bamboo skewers
Directions
- Combine butter and brown sugar in a small bowl.
- Cut the fruit into equal sizes.
- Thread the fruit onto the skewers.
- Brush the melted butter mixture over the fruit on all sides.
- Grill or broil for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once.
- Serve the kabobs with angel food cake and vanilla bean ice cream, sweetened whipped cream or meringue shells.
TIP: If using bamboo skewers, soak in cold water for 20-30 minutes so they don't burn on the grill.
