Chateau Ste. Michelle Washington Pinot Gris Wine, 750 Millilitre, $14.99
For a light, fresh wine, open a bottle of Chateau Ste. Michelle Pinot Gris. This Washington Pinot Gris falls between the lighter Italian Pinot Grigio and the richer, rounder Alsace Pinot Gris, offering a light body and the tastes of fresh orchard fruit. The wine is crafted from 100% Pinot Gris grapes that were picked during the cool night to help preserve the varietal's bright, juicy style. The grapes were cool fermented in stainless steel for three weeks to enhance their floral and citrus characters, then quickly prepared for bottling to maintain freshness. The result is a light white wine that tastes of melon, green apple and pear with hints of spice and floral notes. Enjoy a glass of Chateau Ste. Michelle Pinot Gris by itself or serve as a pleasant complement to spicy foods, meaty fish, chicken or pasta with cream-based sauces. Established 1967 in the Columbia Valley - Washington State's founding winery. 13.5% alcohol by volume.
